Facts about PostNord

In which countries does PostNord operate?

PostNord was formed via a merger between the national postal companies in Denmark and Sweden. In addition to these two countries, PostNord runs operations – primarily centered on logistics assignments – in Finland and Norway. We also run some activities in other European countries.

How many people work for PostNord?

PostNord currently employs around 28,000 people. 

Where is the PostNord head office located?

The PostNord head office is in Solna, a suburb of Stockholm in Sweden.

What employee benefits are available at PostNord?

As a PostNord employee, you have access to a variety of benefits and staff discounts. There are some benefits that are open to all employees, and others that can be adapted individually. This means that you can choose between different benefits that suit your preferences and needs.

Pension and insurance

What pension schemes are open to staff at PostNord Danmark?

PostNord offers some excellent pension schemes. The percentage you pay and pension fund you pay into depends on which union organization is entitled to negotiate the deal.

What insurance schemes are available for PostNord staff in Denmark?
  • We are committed to ensuring PostNord is a safe place to work, and PostNord is OHAS-certified. In addition, our staff are covered during working hours by occupational injury insurance, accident insurance and business travel insurance.

  • Moreover, you are covered by a group life insurance policy, either via your own pension scheme or through payments from PostNord. Payments from this insurance may become relevant in the event of serious illness – also called “critical illness” – or death. In the latter case, a separate sum will be paid to the survivors.

  • We also offer a health insurance policy for academics and contract employees.

  • There may be times during a person’s working life when work may not take top priority. There can be many reasons for this: the birth of a child, for example, or the onset of a serious illness that demands long-term treatment and/or absence from work. Thanks to our collective bargaining agreements, you can feel secure during such periods and focus on what is most important to you.
