We make climate donations for all Danish parcels – including now PostNord Parcel and return parcels

As of January 1, 2024, all Danish parcels will be covered by Climate compensation for parcels, via which we provide climate donations to Danish projects that ensure more nature, greater biodiversity and a better climate.

MyPack Collect and Return Drop Off to more countries in Europe

We are now making it possible to send MyPack Collect to even more countries and receive Return Drop Off from even more countries. Initially, we are adding Slovenia and Slovakia. We will continuously add more locations.

Returns via local parcel lockers

It is now possible to drop off Return Drop Off parcels at our 3,300 local parcel lockers. This means that returns can be made via more than 4,500 drop-off points.

Even more options in the Customer Portal

In the new year, we will be adding even more features in the Customer Portal:

  • With the GPS coordinator you can see where your parcels have been delivered.
  • We are making it possible to recall parcels via the Customer Portal.
  • We are adding Nordic Return Solution, so that you can easily upload the necessary customs documentation when parcels are returned from Norway.

Change to the handling of parcels over 20 kg sent to Sweden

From January 1, 2024, Sweden will change its terms and conditions for handling parcels weighing more than 20 kg to comply with changes in Swedish health and safety legislation. This means that parcels weighing more than 20 kg sent to Sweden must now be marked with PostNord’s barcode label “>20 kg” on 3 sides of the parcel. In addition, the Heavy (H9) service name must be included in the EDI.

Requirements regarding Dangerous contents in limited quantities (LQ)

From the turn of the year, it will be a requirement to state the UN number and weight of the contents of the parcel in EDI when sending dangerous contents in limited quantities (LQ).

Addition of service name for VOEC parcels

From January 1, 2024, it is a requirement to add the VOEC (V1) service name in EDI when sending VOEC parcels (MyPack Home and Collect single package) to Norway. If you use the service name, we ensure that you don’t have to pay customs clearance fees for the consignment. Read more about the VOEC scheme here (link to fact sheet)

PostNord Untracked to be discontinued

As of January 1, PostNord Untracked will be discontinued. We recommend that customers who currently use the product instead use PostNord Tracked in the future.

Logistics

New prices in 2024
The prices and charges for Pallet, Groupage, Courier, InNight and InNight NextDay will change in 2024. The new prices are specified in the link below.

Launch of the Recipient Portal
The Recipient Portal is being launched as a new digital tool that benefits both senders and recipients. The portal gathers together all the relevant information about a Pallet, Groupage, InNight or InNight NextDay consignment and makes this available to the sender. Various services are also offered, such as the free FlexChange option and the option to contact the distributing terminal about the consignment directly.

More information about the Recipient Portal is available here: The Recipient Portal ensures a smooth shipping process for your customers | PostNord

Change to the handling of goods over 20 kg sent to Sweden
From January 1, 2024, Sweden will change its terms and conditions for handling goods weighing more than 20 kg to comply with Swedish health and safety legislation. This means that goods weighing more than 20 kg that are sent to Sweden and not on a pallet must now have PostNord’s barcode label “>20 kg” affixed to 3 sides of the goods. In addition, the Heavy (H9) service name must be included in the EDI.

Pallet and Groupage must be ready for pick-up when placing an order
From January 1, 2024, Pallet and Groupage consignments must be ready for pick-up when the order is placed, unless the order is for consignments that are to be picked up later than on the next business day. More information is available in the Special Terms and Conditions for Pallet and Groupage.

Requirements regarding Dangerous contents in limited quantities (LQ)
From the turn of the year, it will be a requirement to state the UN number and weight of the contents of the parcel in EDI when sending dangerous contents in limited quantities (LQ).

Clarification of InNight and InNight NextDay in the Special Terms and Conditions
We have now made the differences between our two services InNight and InNight NextDay clearer by separating them further in our Special Terms and Conditions.

Note: The information regarding wine shipments has been changed as of 20/11/2023 due to incorrect wording:

Wine shipments shipped as InNight NextDay.
When shipping wine using InNight NextDay, please ensure you select the additional service, Flexdelivery, if the shipment is intended for delivery without a recipient present to receive the shipment against a receipt. Failure to select Flexdelivery and the absence of the recipient upon delivery will result in a failed delivery attempt and we will return the shipment.

New charge for incorrect dimensions and weight
A new fee of DKK 99 will be introduced for incorrect dimensions and weight on InNight and InNight NextDay consignments as of January 1, 2024.

Increase in the charge for EDI
The charge for EDI for InNight and InNight NextDay consignments will increase to DKK 65 as of January 1, 2024, making it the same as the EDI charge for Pallet & Groupage.
