We send parcels with a climate contribution
At PostNord, all domestic parcels include a climate contribution supporting initiatives that protect nature, biodiversity, and the climate in Denmark. The contribution is calculated based on the average CO₂ emissions from a parcel’s journey within Denmark. It is passed on in full to Danish organisations developing nature-based projects that help reduce CO₂ emissions and support Denmark’s climate targets. Our Contribution to the Danish Climate Forest Fund
Our contribution to the Danish Climate Forest Fund (Klimaskovfonden) supports afforestation projects across Denmark that deliver measurable CO₂ reductions while also taking biodiversity, drinking water and local natural values into account. The projects help create larger, interconnected natural areas with public access.
PostNord partners with the Danish Climate Forest Fund because it offers a credible, nationally anchored climate initiative based on nature-based solutions. Through afforestation and the conversion of low-lying agricultural land, the projects ensure long-term CO₂ storage, supporting Denmark’s climate targets and delivering documented climate impact.
The Danish Climate Forest Fund is an independent government entity that ensures a high level of transparency and responsible management of climate contributions. The partnership supports both PostNord’s and our customers’ ESG ambitions through concrete and verifiable initiatives in Denmark.
