Contents

You cannot send just anything in a letter to abroad and the rules may vary from country to country. You can obtain more details from your local post office. Exact information is available from the embassy or consulate of the country in question.

You should always check whether the item you are sending requires customs clearance in the country of destination and whether its importation is permitted. As sender you will be responsible for any consequences if the contents you have sent are not allowed. If sending a letter containing valuables, cash, precious metals, etc., you should send it as a registered item or as an insured item.

Please note, however, that not all countries accept such contents sent as either a registered item or an insured item. You are welcome to contact us for more details.
