Nightly delivery a major benefit for Scania Parts.

For Scania Parts customers, a frayed fan belt can spell disaster. As a result, when the company chooses a logistics partner, the capacity to make fast deliveries outweighs almost everything else.

Scania Parts uses PostNord Logistics to ship spare parts to its network of dealers during the night.

This means that when the workshops open in the morning, they have what they need for the coming day. We carry everything from small nuts and bolts to entire diesel engines all over Europe by night.

By completing the deliveries at night, we help to shorten lead times. The workshops have all the spares they need when they open for business in the morning.

"The InNight deliveries require us to work faster than during the day as we only have half the time to get the job done. It is a real challenge, but we have plenty of experience and a huge distribution network, so we always get there on time," explains Britt-Marie Almqvist, Accounts Manager at PostNord Logistics.

PostNord Logistics has a long-term business relationship with Scania Parts. The partnership involves InNight deliveries before 07.00 to Scania’s dealers and workshops in Sweden and Denmark.

The arrangement also includes transport of returned items and packaging, as well as a daily lorryload of spare parts from the European warehouse in Belgium to the national distribution centre in Norway.
